Frozen Gluten Free Meatballs
1. Amylu Sea Salt & Black Pepper Chicken Meatballs
What I like about these meatballs is they have no added growth hormones and they say they meet the standards for animal welfare.
Ingredients: Chicken Raised Without Antibiotics, Contains 2% Or Less of: Sea Salt, Cracked Black Pepper, Garlic, Spices, Onion Powder, Parsley, Extract Of Rosemary, Vinegar.
2. Cooked Perfect Organic Italian Beef Meatballs
I love that these meatballs are made with 100% beef without added hormones. They are flame-broiled for extra flavor!
Reviewers pointed out these meatballs are not as soft as regular meatballs. They have a very firm texture even when simmered in sauce. People loved that they tasted like homemade meatballs and were perfectly moist.
They do contain soy flour in the ingredients, which I am not a fan of.
Ingredients: organic grass-fed beef, water, organic textured soy flour, organic rice flour, less than 2% of: organic spices, organic dehydrated garlic, organic dehydrated onion, organic dehydrated red bell peppers, sea salt, organic baker’s yeast extract, salt, organic rosemary extract, organic arabica spray dried coffee
3. Cooked Perfect Organic Homestyle Beef Meatballs
These meatballs are made by the same company as before. They are made with 100% grass-fed organic beef raised without antibiotics or added hormones. They are also flame-broiled for extra flavor.
They have great flavor and texture. I don’t like that the ingredients contain soy flour.
Ingredients: organic grass-fed beef, water, organic textured soy flour, organic rice flour, less than 2% of: organic spices, organic dehydrated onion, organic roasted garlic powder, sea salt, organic rosemary extract
4. Hereford Meatballs with Spaghetti Sauce
This brand of meatballs is interesting because it’s shelf-stable and comes packaged in spaghetti sauce. The meatballs are already fully cooked and just need to be reheated.
These meatballs are great if you’re going camping, hunting, hiking, etc where you need to pack a gluten free meal without refrigeration
These meatballs have good flavor. They’re not the greatest-tasting meatball but they are convenience food. The texture is firm and the taste is a little too salty.
Overall, I don’t love the ingredients but it’s a very affordable meatball option and might be good to have on hand as emergency food.
