Grinch Rice Krispie Treats Ingredients
Use a gluten free brand of Rice Krispies to make these Grinch heart treats. Use any kind of green food coloring like gel food dye, natural food dye, etc.
- Rice Krispies
- jumbo marshmallows
- unsalted butter
- green food coloring
- red sprinkle hearts
How to Make Grinch Rice Krispie Treats
In a large glass bowl, microwave the butter and marshmallows for 2-3 min, or heat the ingredients over low heat in a saucepan until melted.
Once melted add 5-8 drops of green food coloring and mix using a spatula until well incorporated.
Add rice Krispies to the melted marshmallows, making sure to coat all of the rice Krispies.
Press the mixture into a 9×9 baking dish and let it cool until firm, about 15 minutes.
Using a 2-inch heart cookie cutter, cut the cooled rice Krispies into heart shapes.
Use the extra rice Krispies from outside of the heart cuts, to also make Grinch hearts by pressing the mixture into the heart cutter to form hearts.
To add a final Grinch look, press a red sprinkle heart into the middle of each Grinch heart.

Can you use large marshmallows for rice Krispie treats?
You can use any size of marshmallows to make rice Krispie treats as long as it is the same amount that you need for the recipe.
