Healthy Halloween Snacks

Halloween is a time for candy and sweets, but it doesn’t have to be all unhealthy. Here are 16 easy, healthy Halloween snacks that you can make all October long.

They’re all delicious, can be added to lunches, served after school, and will satisfy your sweet tooth.

There are snacks ranging from fun Halloween-themed cookies to fruit-based snacks. Great for kids and adults.

All of the snacks are gluten free. Many are egg free too!

I also have gluten free Halloween treats that are perfect for desserts, parties, or when you want to indulge more!

Some healthy ingredient swaps

Food Dyes

Some recipes require food dyes. For a healthier alternative, you can use these plant-based natural food dyes.

Many people use dried ground turmeric to mimic orange/yellow food dye which is perfect for Halloween.

Powdered Sugar/Regular Sugar

Some recipes use powdered sugar in the ingredients. If you want to use a sugar-free option I suggest powdered erythritol.

You can swap it 1:1. I personally use it to keep my snacks and desserts low carb.

Cornstarch

Some recipes call for cornstarch. Cornstarch is naturally gluten free. Many people prefer to use arrowroot starch or tapioca starch to thicken something.

Start with half the recommended amount, then continue adding more until you have reached the desired thickness.
