Strawberry Watermelon Juice is a light refreshing drink perfect for the summer with no added sugar.
Strawberries, watermelon, mineral water, and lemon juice are blended together and strained to remove all seeds from the strawberries. Lemon juice helps to bring out the fruity flavors.
I love fruity girly drinks usually with rum added!
I created this strawberry watermelon drink as a non-alcoholic drink perfect as a summer drink but you could add any alcohol to it that tickles your fancy.
I wouldn’t call this a sweet drink but a “light refreshing” drink.
You could also call it strawberry watermelon juice because you remove all of the seeds.
There’s no sugar added.
It’s a sugar-free summer drink.
If you prefer sweet drinks add stevia drops or make a simple sugar syrup (water mixed with sugar then boiled into a syrup) and add the cooled mixture to the drink.
Tools for this recipe
For this recipe you will need:
Ingredients
- seedless watermelon, rind removed
- fresh or frozen strawberries, washed & stems removed
- lemon juice
- mineral water or regular water
How to make Strawberry Watermelon Juice
1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
2. Using a strainer (like this one), strain the mixture.
3. Serve cold
Can I use regular water?
I used mineral water to add a fizziness to the drink plus I enjoy the health benefits of drinking mineral water. You can use club soda or tonic water instead.
Can I skip the lemon juice?
I used lemon juice to bring out the flavors of the strawberry and watermelon. If you skip it the drink will taste more flat.
How far ahead can I make this drink?
I always made it immediately before consuming it. You could make it a day ahead and make sure you stir it before serving. I don’t recommend leaving it in your fridge for too many days.
