WHO AM I?
I’m Carol Lovett, a Canadian, reiki master, crystal healer, foodie, and I created Ditch the Wheat way back in 2011!
That feels like so long ago.
My story starts in Dec 2010.
I was sitting in my doctor’s office telling him about my IBS.
I was always running to the washroom because of my IBS.
It was controlling my life at work, on dates, social gathering…
I’m sure you know the feeling.
I nervously asked my doctor, would it help if I went gluten free?
He said, try it!
Right before Christmas I went gluten free!
I was crazy but I did it!
Guess what, the IBS went away unless I was really nervous about something or ate gluten.
After a year of struggling to find good gluten free recipes (back then there were hardly any special diet blogs) I decided to start, Ditch the Wheat.
I have a sweet tooth and I wanted to share all the gluten free/Paleo desserts and snacks I was creating.
I also share gluten free savory recipes too like main dishes and sides.
Since creating the blog I’ve gone on to create a Bestselling cookbook called, Ditch the Wheat, you can find it in any large bookstore or on Amazon, and 2 self published digital cookbooks, Indulge: 70+ Grain Free Desserts and The Grain-Free Snacker.
Maybe you just started your gluten-free journey or maybe you’ve been eating this way for a long time, I want you to know food doesn’t need to be the enemy. Gluten-free doesn’t need to taste like cardboard… I have so many recipes for you to discover!
