I hope you had a great holiday! Happy New Year! I took some time off to enjoy living in my new area in Toronto, Canada. It’s been an interesting month. I’ve only been here 6 weeks and my pipes have frozen twice (not my fault but the restaurant below me). Right before Christmas, Toronto endured a horrific ice storm resulting in power outages lasting for days. Ironically my pipes did not freeze during the power outage. I lasted 2 days without power before I decided to go home to my parents. It was like living in hell, except a frozen hell. I also hosted a paleo potluck with my pipes frozen and no shower 🙁 My friends were kind and didn’t mention that I might have smelled….
In other news my cat, Spruce (Spruce Lee Lovett), has adjusted amazingly well to apartment life. I was terrified of how I was going to get my cute kitty to go from a country cat to a city cat again but he seems to like living here. He enjoys playing on my stairs. He pretends he’s catching and attacking stuff on my stairs, it’s really cute. He spends the rest of the day sleeping on my bed or looking out my window at the pigeons flying around and the people exploring the shops below.
A few weeks I recorded a podcast with my friends, Caitlin & Mary!
Caitlin is one of my best buddies. Operating a business out of my home can be a bit lonely but I always have my friend Caitlin (and Karen from Living Low Carb One Day at a Time) to chat with 🙂
When she asked me to be on her podcast I was sooo honoured because in the past Caitlin & Mary have had such cool guests and I was going to be one of those guests!
We talked about paleo baking tips. These girls really drilled me on what I know and I tried my best to share some of my secrets.
I was also on Heather’s new podcast, called A Real Food Journey, talking about paleo baking and the paleo lifestyle. Heather was fun to talk to, and we had a lot in common with our desire to live a healthier lifestyle.
I don’t know about you but I am really getting into listening to podcasts. I hope you enjoy!
